SUMMER BLOOMS NATIVE PLANT SALE
The Summer Blooms Online Native Plant Sale has ended. Thank you to everyone that placed an order and thank you for making the conscious choice to use native plants! Just over 5,500 native plants were purchased during this online sale. Add that to the 10,000 native plants purchased during the spring sale and that's over 15,500 native plants! That's a huge impact!
BUT...we're not done! We still have our Pop-Up Pollinator Native Plant Sale coming up AND our Oaktober! Native Tree and Shrub Sale this fall.
We're going to keep the native plant information right here for the Summer Blooms Collections and all the individual species in case you need it in the coming weeks while you are laying out your garden and planting your new native plants!
The Summer Blooms Raffle Drawing has concluded. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone that participated. So far, we've raised $3,360 from raffle ticket sales from both the Spring and Summer Blooms raffles! This means that we only have $6,640 left to raise to meet our $10,000 goal for the 'All Persons Interpretive Trail Project.'

Raffle Details: $5/ticket. The online raffle closes 6:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021. Winners drawn at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, August 1, 2021. Winner notified by email within 72 hours of drawing. Winners may pick up their prize at the Summer Blooms pickup event on August 13 and 14 or at a different time at Isle a la Cache Museum, 501 E. 135th Street, Romeoville during regular museum hours; Tuesday-Saturday: 10am to 4pm, Sunday: Noon to 4pm. The museum is closed Mondays. Prizes will be held for a maximum of 30 days. Prizes will not be mailed or shipped. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards meeting our $10,000 goal and securing our $10,000 match for the Forest Preserve District's All Persons Interpretive Trail Project.

SUMMER BLOOMS TO RAISE MONEY FOR A SPECIAL CAUSE
Proceeds from the Summer Blooms raffle, gathering and native plant sale (above event costs) will help fund a new amenity at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon; an ALL PERSONS INTERPRETIVE TRAIL.
This trail will provide multi-sensory, interactive experiences for people of all ages and physical and mental abilities. The trail provides a supportive, nature-based learning experience and highlights the surrounding river, forest and pond habitats as well as the unique wildlife drawn to the river ecosystem.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 and we are so excited that our corporate partner, J-Power USA, will match it dollar-for-dollar, ultimately providing $20,000 to the Forest Preserve District of Will County for this important project.

Native Plant Sale Pricing
15 Plant Collections - $37.50, plus tax
25 Plant Collections - $62.50, plus tax
Individual Species in 3 Plant Packs - $7.50, plus tax
*Illinois sales tax is 8.5%. When you check out there is an option for you to cover the credit card processing fee. Covering the fee is not mandatory, but we hope you will because this is a fundraiser and that just means more funds go towards conservation, nature education and recreation in the Will County forest preserves.
Will I get the plants I ordered?
Yes, we expect that you will get exactly what you ordered. However, there is always the possibility of something unexpected occurring that is beyond our control. For collections, we reserve the right to substitute with a comparable species. For individual species in 3 plug packs, we will refund your purchase if your item is no longer available. If you are dissatisfied with your order when you pick it up, you can ask for a partial or full refund at that time. Refunds will not be issued once you accept your order at pickup.
Inventory Restocking
We will monitor inventory during the sale and restock only individual species in the 3 plug packs. Once the native plant collections are sold out, we will not restock those collections. However, you may create your own customized collection using the 3 plug packs. If you have any questions about restocking, please submit your question or request in the contact box at the bottom of the storefront or use any of the comment links on our website.
Special Orders
If you have a large project and would like to purchase flats of 50 plugs of a single species, please email us. We will reach out to the nursery to see if they have what you need in stock. We cannot guarantee plant availability. The cost is $125/flat, plus tax. Please submit your request in the contact box at the bottom of the storefront or use any of the comment links on our website. Sorry, we can’t accommodate any special requests for quantities less than 50 plugs of a single species.
Tips for Using the Online Store

Pro Tip: If you want to move quicker through the online store, try using the back button in your browser. It doesn't always work for everyone, but if it does, it will take you back to the main menu at the place you left off in the online store. If you use the 'select a different item' option, it will take you back to the beginning of the store’s main menu and you will have to scroll through the entire store. When viewing your cart, you will need to use the 'continue browsing' button.
You will be timed, but not really: Once you add an item to your cart, it activates a timer. You get 20 minutes to complete your shopping BUT, don’t panic. When there’s 2 minutes left, you can extend the time for another 20 minutes. Whew!
You'll see a lot of scientific names: Individual species are listed alphabetically by scientific name. Don’t worry, the common name is also included. Just like the name of roads in Illinois, there are a bunch of different common names for the same plant. Scientific names help to make sure we are all talking about the same plant.
Pro Tip: We’ve heard from a few native plant shopping pros and they print out the list of plants that will be available and highlight the ones they want to purchase BEFORE they start shopping. That way, they can find everything they want quickly, and they have the scientific names right there too!

OAKTOBER! NATIVE TREE & SHRUB SALE
The Oaktober! Native Tree & Shrub online sale begins Saturday, September 4 at 9:00 a.m. Orders must be placed by October 2, although we may sell out prior.
Customers will be able to pick up their order on Saturday, October 16 at the Sugar Creek Administration Center, Joliet. Times will be announced soon.
Trees and shrubs will be sold in the larger, #5-gallon containers. (There is variation in the nursery business, but generally the #5 container is approximately 14" wide x 12" high.)
