WHY OUR PARTNERS MATTER

Our corporate partners create a healthier Will County. Partnerships with businesses, corporations and foundations from our community allow us to work hand in hand with the Forest Preserve District to strengthen its commitment to a better Will County for all.

By forging a partnership with the Nature Foundation of Will County, you are acting as a good steward and a good neighbor. Investing your dollars back into the community enhances your presence here and amplifies your dedication to strengthening your bond with the people you serve.

THE IMPACT

Businesses, corporations and foundations supported the Nature Foundation of Will County with more than $62,500 in contributions in 2023, allowing the Forest Preserve District of Will County to better serve the community. Among the projects and initiatives supported by our corporate partners in 2023 were the following:

  • STEM and STEAM education programs at Forest Preserve visitor centers

  • A bus scholarship program for field trips

  • Community events at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center

  • Trout restocking at Hidden Lakes Trout Farm

  • Educational supplies and fishing program equipment for Hidden Oaks Nature Center

  • New benches at Hidden Oaks Nature Center and Hidden Lakes Trout Farm

  • Supplies and equipment for volunteer workdays

  • Bicycle repair stations along Hickory Creek Bikeway and Veterans Memorial Trail

  • Support for native plants sales and the Bringing Nature Home initiative
